At the west end of Ohio Street in Bellaire Michigan there is a public boat ramp
into the Intermediate River. This is as far north you can safely navigate a boat
as a dam and fast water is just a 1/4 mile north of here.
The water at the ramp can be fairly shallow at times
the river south from here will remain 5foot on average. The photo to the left
shows you the view just south of the ramp where the Cayuga Street bridge crosses
the river.
