After the St Marys River freezes up in late season
you can take a tour of the shore line and some of the small islands.
Round Island , shown top, is close to the channel
the ice breakers keep open through the winter so caution is the word.
I do not recommend going on the river without a local guide. You
can contact Gray at the River Bend Resort to get current conditions
and he can help fine a guide. He also has a great place to stay
and ride from.
