On the far west side of Lake Michigamme is a small park with a beach,
picnic area, vault toilets and a boat launch. The Spurr River empties
into the lake just south of the park and ofers some good shore fishing.
The shallow bay here warms up faster in the spring and is a good place
for fishing pike. Walleye will also be found here especialy in the early
spring when they run up the river to spawn.
