Good morning to all of you "Morel hunters" out there in search of those tasty beauties! Unfortunately, Mother Nature has just about everything running a week or two behind schedule in da UP this year. Believe it or not, we still have snow in the woods....and the temps didn't get much above the mid to upper 40's this past week. The good news is that most of the "white stuff" is fading fast, the grass is starting to turn green and we're finally seeing signs that spring is here. We've been getting some rain and the weather guru's are calling for the temps to get into the 50's for most of next week. This should be pretty good news for those of you looking for mushrooms. We're starting to see a few small ones popping up here & there and with the warmer temps and moist ground, we should start seeing quite the "Morel explosion" happening within the next week or so. Just keep your eye on the weather icon in the upper right hand corner of this page for the latest weather info. Then give us a call for details. We're still running our "spring specials" with room rates discounted to $55.00/night with a 2 night minimum through the middle of May. Now is also a great time to be up here fishing & ATV riding.
