Slip Bobber Rig

Action Slip-bobber
When fish are suspended several feet or more off the bottom, as walleye will do in the summer, the slip-bobber is the perfect set up to use with live bait. A traditional bobber would make casting impossible with more than ten feet of line needed below the bobber.
Tying a knot or stop in the line and sliding it through the bobber with split shot and your hook tied on below will allow you to adjust your depth and still have a short line to cast. When the bobber hits the water the line will slide down and stop at the depth you have set with the knot.
