Lead Head Jig

Lead Head Jig Stinger hook rig    Lead head jigs are very versatile and can be used to fish drop-offs, open water and rivers. It's important to use a swivel in your line to avoid the line twist that will otherwise occur. Lead-heads can be used with a variety of live, plastic baits or both.
Stinger Hook   Often I will use a stinger hook to insure a good hook up when jigging for walleye or other soft biting fish that suck in their prey. The illustrations here will show you how to use live minnows properly.
When jigging vary your speed and motion, a dying minnow will swim in a very erratic pattern. When casting out over a drop give your jig enough time to settle to the bottom before you start to jig then walk it up or down in steps taking up the slack as it settles back each time.
