I have heard reports of some nice perch being caught in the deep bays of Drummond Island, I have seen guys out fishing in Raber and Munoscong Bays also if they are biting on Drummond they are biting on this side too! Smelt are done, there was a pretty good steel head this year too.
DeTour Sportsman's Weekend Scheduled June 7/8
Come on up for the DeTour "X" Atlantic Salmon Derby, Saturday June 7. This one day derby has $50/boat entry fee (which $7 goes toward the support of the DeTour fish cleaning station, the remainder into prize money) Weigh-in ceremony and BBQ immediately afterward at River Bend Resort. DeTour Passage is the only fishery for Atlantic salmon on the Great Lakes, they have a very distinctive "X" shaped mark on their scales, and a 10lb Atlantic is an "Extreme" fish to catch fighting better than a 20lb King - jumping completely out of the water, spitting the hook at you etc... FUN!)
