Here we are, the end of another season! Although it was late, it was a good one! Trails are still hanging in there and there is still backwoods riding available. Things to keep in mind though! Ice conditions can change overnight, so beware or do not cross any lakes, rivers or water that might appear to be safe! Most private landowner permits are now expired. Please respect the landowners so our trail system can continue into the far future!! Many trails on State owned land are still ridable, but if you choose to go and ride, Know Where You Are!! As grooming is now over, this will be our last snowmobile trail report of the season. We soon will be updating on the O.R.V. side since Iron County has its own State sponsored trail loop with many additions and improvements on the way!! And it is a great place to ride!! So until next season or until we start up on the O.R.V. reports, you can always call The Chippewa Resort for Trail information and Lodging availability at (906) 875-3117. Located 4 miles west of Crystal Falls on Hwy. U.S.2 and right on Trail #16 "The Chippewa Trail"!! And remember, when you are on the trails, "RIDE SMART, RIDE SAFE"!
