Trail Conditions in this area of the Central UP groomed by VOLUNTEERS from Schoolcraft County Motorized Trail Assoc.:
With the past week of warmer weather, trails are beginning to deteriorate.
Traffic volumes are very heavy throughout the weekend and lighter on the weekdays.
Overall: Good. All trails have been groomed within 24 hrs. of this post.
Trail 7 from Camp7 Road to the Trail Head on CO Rd 442, The Camel Riders Resort, and north to the Buck Horn is groomed daily and in very good shape
Trails out of Manistique groomed every 24-36 hours:
Trail 2 west to 7 north to 413 east to Jack Pine trailhead: Heavy traffic and groomed.
Trail 413 has heavy traffic and groomed.
The Spur off trail 7 into Big Springs is well used and groomed.
Trail 41 north to Shingleton and trail 8 junction: heavily traveled; groomed every 24-36 hours;
bridge crossings and corners showing traffic “wear and tear”.
2 North/41 North to Jack Pine trailhead: Heavily traveled; but holding up well.
2 East to M77 (Blaney Park): Well traveled; good snow coverage throughout the 48 mi stretch with 3 separate areas of active logging in progress(parts of trail are plowed).
421 trail into Gulliver Trailhead is good.
