Manistique Trail Report:
PAST 24 Hrs: 0
With the past few days of warm weather and sunshine the trails are suffering.
Overall: Fair to Good. Groomers stopped running Sunday PM, but, with any luck, there will be favorable conditions to go out and make final passes mid-week.
Out of Manistique: Trail 2 west to 7 north to 413 east to Jack Pine trailhead:
Trail 413 has some rough corners and moguls in and out of them.
The new Spur off trail 7 into Big Springs is well used but needs some snow with the dirt.
Trail 41 north to Shingleton and trail 8 junction: heavily traveled; expect choppyness at bridge crossings(moguls) and corners getting rough and dirty.
2 North/41 North to Jack Pine trailhead: Heavily traveled; expect choppyness at bridge crossings
2 East: Well traveled; good snow coverage throughout the 37 miles to the 421 spur into Gulliver; corners are choppy and getting dirtier by the day. The last few miles having a logging operation start-up(plowed trail) so, there will be mud, water and rutting.
The 421 trail into Gulliver Trailhead is experiancing the same deterioration.
Bear Creek Swamp west of M77/Blaney Park still remains closed.
I think we're going to be done soon....
