Hi All, We did get a lot of rain on 5-2-12 and the morels are growing. The black morels are just pass the peak, but whites and grays are just coming on. The regular trout season opened April 28th. Fresh fish and morel diner, yum! The forecast sounds good for this weekend, so get your butt in the woods and see what you can find and please take a kid with you. Have you every tried this? Take an ATV and ride the trails a while and park it along the trail and walk around a little mushroom hunting, then ride a little farther and look around a little a little more. It’s a great way to cover a big area mushroom hunting, but it’s a fun and exciting way to do it. But Please don’t ride off of the ATV trails. With all the State and Federal land that is around here. These woods are great place to give mushrooming a try. Lots of hardwoods and softwoods to explore. So come on up and stay with us, you will not be disappointed. Go out mushroom hunting during the day and come back to your Lake Front Room and watch the sun set with the Eagles flying over head and the Loons singing out on the lake, then sit by our Lake Front Campfire (we supply the wood) and relax.
