Sorry, can't talk right now, I'm starved. You can join us for the pancake breakfast at the American Legion Hall if you like. After some coffee and grub we can talk. The East Jordan Fire Fighters do up a great breakfast and with a very friendly atmosphere it will help get you in the proper mood for the day. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, hash browns and eggs, I think I got it all. You can always go back for seconds so don't try and carry it all at once. You can see Neila, top left, going for two!

After a good breakfast and lots of coffee we strolled back down Main Street to find a good spot to view the parade. Everyone was scurrying around town picking their spots or getting ready for participation in the event. I found someone with a bigger nose than mine and he seemed pretty popular with the ladies ladies also.

Gary , owner of Swan Valley Marina, drove by us with his float. He was looking for Old Man winter who would be riding one of their rental sleds on the float during the parade. I spotted Mr. Winter hobbling down the street looking for Gary and pointed him in the right direction. The crowd was filling the sidewalks and corners with chatter as the start grew near.    It was not long before every ones attention was focused on Main Street and the whaling of the fire trucks siren. The parade was starting! As the truck started to roll everyone gathered close to the streets edge for a closer look. The sound of the siren would go right through you and it was easy tell by the hands over their ears who stayed out at the Rainbow Bar to late last night. We moved in close for pictures and got the camera ready for action.
