Fri. Jan 27, 2012 8:00 amLOOKING BETTER! In the northwest lower snowbelt, Petoskey to Indian River down to Grayling picked up
a fresh 5-6 inches of heavy snow Tue. Most of the trails here have been groomed but have lost more snow
the past 2 warm days. Only because of colder temps and new snow for Saturday I will rate this area fair
with Sunday the best day to ride. Under the snow it is icy so watch the corners.
You will also run across some wet areas right now but this should clear up by Sunday.
The Eastern U.P. north of M-28 is in good condition with more snow expected this weekend.
Everything from Munising west is in real good shape and will offer the best areas this week.
