Here you can follow the break wall and enter Lake Huron following the channel marked by buoys. The break wall with the Crib Light at the south end and channel light at the north, is also walkway.
The 14 foot Shoal Light, shown below left, is one and a half miles from here and marks the south passage
between lower Michigan and Bois Blanc Island.

Along the north side of the channel you will pass by the Cheboygan City Beach
and Park. There is a playground for kids, a nice sandy beach and plenty of shade for a picnic.
