As you reach the area shown top you can get to the river by road from either side.
Mission Rd. to the south, and Snyder Rd. to the north. The nearest bridge is M-68
in Alanson. You can sit and fish from shore or you can launch a small boat on the south side.
I would not advise anything over 14 feet.
As you drive through this residential section of the river
please remember to go slow, you are responsible for
any damage your wake my cause.
There are many bends in the river but none
sharper than Devils Elbow, shown bottom left. From the far bank
you can see that the river runs parallel for a ways
making this more than 180 degree corner. It's a very tough maneuver for the
Top O' Michigan Outboard Race drivers that come
through the river at high speeds once a year.
