The stretch of river around and downstream of the I-75 Bridge is a good area for pike using shallow crankbaits. The water averages 5 to 6 feet in the channel and there are heavy weed beds in the shallows.
Try the down-stream side of the pilings, especially behind the right side, where the river bends into a nice 8 feet hole. You can troll the river or try throwing a jig into the channel tipped with a minnow as you drift. Good bet for walleye at night.
