The view shown top is the entrance channel from Burt Lake into the Indian River. On the south side of the channel is a walkway and benches at DeVoe Park, Indian Rivers public beach. This part of the river is also a good early season fishing area. If you look in the water, early spring just in front of the boat house in the photo top right, you can usually see many walleye, brown trout and suckers swimming around the gravel holes.

During the summer season boat traffic is very heavy in this area. The pier is also the place Indian River launches their fireworks during the 4th of July celebration.
