Crooked Lake <=== west ------------------------- east ===> Pickerel Lake
In the channel that runs between Crooked and Pickerel Lakes, there is a large deep spring fed pond the locals call, "The Black Hole" Great place to Anchor and Relax for a while. We often find this a nice place to tie off for a relaxing afternoon in the sun. It's out of the wind and waves, and the wild life is easy to watch here. Ducks, deer, crane, and some large snapping turtles frequent the pond. Late in the fall you can pull a few nice walleye out!
