Oden Island is connected with the mainland at the south end by a causeway and small 1 lane bridge shown top from the east side. I use this as a short cut to the West Oden Island from the Pickerel Lake Channel. The water under and around the bridge is only two a foot or so deep and rocky at the edge of the water. Remember to keep your poles down, the outboard up, and stay to the center. In the winter a current is always flowing through here and the ice stays very thin. Do not snowmobile under the bridge.
