Around this rocky point here on Burt Lake is a good place to fish for smallmouth or walleye. The crawfish are easy to find in the rocks and are one of their favorite main dishes! I like to fish following the 10 to 15 foot break line trolling large crank baits spring and fall or drift through the point with bottom walkers and a crawler harness in the summer evenings. Be careful boating, A few hundred yards off Colonial Point, Burt Lake, the bottom comes up quick to 3 feet or less, so be careful.
