When fishing look for the tower that sets on shore south east of Colonial Point and you are in the middle of Sturgeon Bay east Burt Lake. This area is a very rocky and makes good fishing for smallmouth and walleye year round. A narrow under water point runs out from here and is one of the best spots on the lake for walleye in spring, early summer and ice fishing. Jigs tipped with minnows work great early in the season on Burt Lake. Crawler harnesses just off the bottom get results through the summer months. If you're fishing Burt Lake, try this area.
